Last month, I had the pleasure of teaming up with Sarah Longworth Wedding Photography on this fab photo shoot on the streets of Shoreditch.
The theme was a relaxed and understated elopement shoot full of dark and moody colours, yet keeping an element of comfort and cosiness, Super romantic and soft, set against the unpolished streets of Shoreditch.
To start, I chose really soft neutral colours; mainly whites and creams, with some super subtle pink undertones, and then balanced this out with deeper purples and pinks to add depth and character. I used a selection of beautiful scalloped edge Roses, Ammi, Hellebores, Wax flower, and dried Nigella seed heads with some beautiful Senecio foliage to achieve that silvery green-grey colour. The arrangements themselves were very relaxed, just letting the stems twist and turn in whichever direction they pleased.
It was great to design flowers for a different setting than I'm used to. Here in a small city surrounded by countryside is a far cry from the trendy streets of Shoreditch and I was worried that my flowers might look out of place. But Sarah found this gorgeous apartment just off Brick Lane, which had a slight rustic feel to it, so thankfully it all tied together!
Scroll down to see a selection of snaps from the day!
Thanks to everyone who collaborated on this shoot!
